   Well, it’s difficult to articulate what exactly is involved in being good at a game like this, but I’ll try. Some important things are:

   * Competence with controls. Accurate aiming, smooth movement, knowledge of the limits of your player character, etc. This only comes through practice.
   * Be strategic. Know your enemy, know their strengths, know their weaknesses, plan ahead whenever possible, avoid being caught in dead ends.
